Pelvic asymmetry in relation to the human reproduction
Kodytková, Aneta ; Brůžek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Bigoni, Lucie (referee)
This diploma thesis deals primarily with the existence of the asymmetry of the bony pelvis and the sexual dimorphism of the asymmetry of the pelvic canal, which is caused by different reproductive functions of each of the sexes. Furthermore, the correlation or linear dependence of the external pelvic and pelvic canal dimensions was investigated. The study uses 3D pelvic models created in Avizo 7.1 from CT images of the recent French population. The material consists of 74 probands, of which 36 are males and 38 are females. The models were digitalized using Viewbox 4 software, in which 29 landmarks were applied to each pelvic model. These correspond to 24 dimensions divided into three groups: the size of the non-canal pelvis, the dimensions of the pelvic canal and the dimensions for calculating the correlation between the non-canal pelvis and the pelvic canal. The degree of asymmetry was evaluated using the formulas for the calculation of directorial (DA) and absolute (AA) asymmetry. Student's paired t-test was used for statistical analysis of asymmetry to determine asymmetry in previous studies. Gender differences were determined by the Mann-Whitney U test. At the same time, an analysis using the mixed model ANOVA was also performed, which in addition incorporates an intraobservation measurement...

Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis Morbus Crohn
Kautzová, Zuzana ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Zinková, Iva (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the dignosis Crohn's disease Objective: The aim of the bachelor thesis is theoretical processing of the diagnosis of Crohn's disease, physiotherapeutic examination and therapeutic methods and, of course, also the practical layout and application of therapy that is suitable to patient's medical condition. Methods: The bachelor thesis was elaborated on the basis of four-week practice, which took place in the Rheumatology Institute in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis corresponds to the literature search of Czech and foreign professional publications and articles concerning the above- mentioned issue. This part contains not only theoretical knowledge about Crohn's disease, but also functional effects of damaged organs on the locomotor system and higher management levels. Examination and therapeutic methods related to the diagnosis and therapy of Crohn's disease and problems associated with it. The pieces of information were searched in local libraries, electronic resources, and some of them also correspond to the personal communication of experts in their field, with whom I had the privilege to meet. The practical part was designed and compiled by me (the author of the bachelor thesis) and was consulted with the head of the...
Dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles and tailbone in relation to the functional disorders of other segments of the spine
KOMÁRKOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis is concerned with what influence a pelvic floor muscular dysfunction has on the coccyx as well as on other spine segments and also on the posture as such. In principle, this represents a shortening of the muscles attached to the coccyx, which causes a broad scale of problems, which are usually confined to other parts of the body. Back pain is a common problem in today's population. It is an impediment to normal life and causes such pain that it often leads people to an addiction to analgesics, be it in the form of drugs or sprays. Thus the treatment only addresses the symptoms and not the real cause, wherefore it lacks long-term effectiveness. The movement apparatus is greatly influenced by the current lifestyle. Very often, over long time, people only get very little movement, while, at times, they put their bodies under extreme load with negative health effects. Due to sedentary work, an inactivation takes place, of the musculature of the deep stabilizing system of the spine, an important part of which is, notably, also the pelvic floor, which supports the internal organs from bellow and plays an important role in the stabilization of the body center. Psyche and stress also play an important role in this problem. Especially in women with pelvic floor problems, the complaints are not confined to back pain, but they also appear in other areas, such as the stopping of the menstrual cycle or other menstrual irregularities, functional sterility, incontinence. If we respect the body as a whole, instead of focusing solely on the area afflicted with pain, we can improve the effectiveness of therapy and improve the living standard of a patient long-term. By relaxing the coccyx and pelvic floor musculature, in combination with the correct mode of breathing, the body is capable to rid itself of problems in higher segments of the spine. The main goal of this thesis is to find out to what extent it is possible to influence the dysfunction of the pelvic floor musculature and thus mitigate the problems in other spine segments. This is to be achieved, among other things, using exercise developed by Mojžíšová, which aims to complexly improve the dynamics of the entire spine and to strengthen muscular groups of the whole body. This bachelor thesis can be used as a source for clinical practicing physical therapists who are interested in the relationship between pelvic floor muscular dysfunction and other spine segments It can also be used as educational material for women suffering from this affliction.
